8 Weeks Old!

Mak turns 8 weeks old today! She has all sorts of new tricks - smiling a ton and holding her head up for longer periods of time and with more control. She's sleeping for longer amounts of time at night (up to 5 hours) and is awake more during the day.

Ken is out of town for a friend's wedding, so we had our first night by ourselves last night. I have two good friends coming into town today (Barb and Steph), so I gave Mak a bath and "we" tidied up the house a bit. Actually, she went to bed early and I cleaned. We're so excited to have a girls' weekend! We plan on shopping at the outlet mall that is close to our house, sunbathing (not Mak!), watching chick flicks, and having a nice Happy Hour on the Murphy Patio. I even have a babysitter lined up for one night so we can have a little adult fun. Enjoy some recent pics.
